The Grove Family’s Story: Heart Center Surgeon Receives Grateful Tribute

Through the life — and loss — of their infant son Emmett, a patient in Children’s Cardiac Care Unit in 2020, the Grove family found a lasting bond with his heart surgeon, Dr. Ali Ibrahimiye. In welcoming a baby sibling this spring, the Groves decided on a special tribute, naming their newborn Abbott Ali in gratitude to the surgeon and Heart team whose compassionate care has impacted their family for a lifetime.
